For many years Arsenal's away colours were being white or navy blue. Even so, in 1968 the FA banned navy shirts (they looked much too just like referees' black package), so in the 1969–70 period Arsenal launched an away kit of yellow shirts with blue shorts. This kit was worn while in the 1971 FA Cup Remaining when Arsenal beat Liverpool to secur
